The Knitting Nurse

Rambles and Travels

A Bit About Me

Thank you for visiting my blog.  I started it WAY back in 2008 when I began a four year journey of travel nursing through the western US.  I live on the Olympic Peninsula in Washington State.  Here I’ve found the perfect blend of seaside living with mountains in my backyard and small town life.

Blogging’s been a creative outlet for me and a way of sharing ideas with others.

Busy I keep with work, quality time with friends, knitting and cooking, hiking, camping,  biking and volunteering for local outdoor parks and Afghans for Afghans (a charitable knitting effort).

Road trips are a big theme in this blog.   I get twitchy and crabby when travel’s overdue.  ;  )

Being outside is my reset-button.  Hiking’s my favorite outlet.  Poking along the coast connects me to the ocean, a new love coming from land-locked CO and, originally, MN.

That’s me in a nutshell.  Hope you enjoy my posts.
